Designed for real broadcasts

The control OBS was missing.

A native dock that works across scenes while the compressed output keeps flowing.

01

Change delay live

Add, cancel, re-arm or remove 1–300 seconds without stopping streaming or recording.

02

Audio during the hold scene

A private audio mix keeps the selected hold scene audible without rewriting global buses.

03

Audience preview

A GPU-downscaled 320×180 preview follows emitted frames without locking OBS video settings.

04

Honest memory estimate

The dock estimates RAM from measured bitrate and shows real usage as the buffer grows.

05

Normal OBS workflow

Switch scenes, use Studio Mode and keep operating OBS normally while delay is active.

06

Safe output switching

Transitions happen on codec-safe keyframes to preserve a decodable A/V bitstream.

What happens on air

Three states. One uninterrupted output.

The plugin changes what the output receives—not how you operate your production.

01

Prepare

Choose the delay and hold scene. The live program continues while compatible auxiliary encoders get ready.

02

Fill

At a safe keyframe, viewers see the hold scene while compressed program packets fill the buffer.

03

Delay—or return live

The buffered program takes over at the target depth. Remove delay whenever you want; no output restart.

Built for competitive rigs

Spend RAM, not permanent GPU time.

Video stays compressed in RAM. Matching stream and recording encoders share the same temporary hold pipeline. Preview frames are reduced on the GPU before readback; collapse the preview to release its capture and history.

  • No permanent decode / composite / re-encode loop
  • Bounded lock-free PCM bridge; no PCM allocation in Silence mode
  • 4 GiB primary-buffer safety limit
  • Keyframe-safe cuts instead of expensive crossfades

Compatibility at a glance

  • Encoded audio + video output with exactly one active video track
  • Hybrid MP4/MOV, standard RTMP and FLV are supported
  • Disable OBS native Stream Delay before using the plugin
  • Enhanced Broadcasting / real multi-video output is intentionally unsupported

Low overhead has a tradeoff.

Production mode uses a cut on the next safe keyframe. A real fade between delayed and live video would require permanent decoding, compositing and re-encoding—the exact cost this plugin avoids.
