Prepare
Choose the delay and hold scene. The live program continues while compatible auxiliary encoders get ready.

At a safe keyframe, viewers see the hold scene while compressed program packets fill the buffer.

The buffered program takes over at the target depth. Remove delay whenever you want; no output restart.

Video stays compressed in RAM. Matching stream and recording encoders share the same temporary hold pipeline. Preview frames are reduced on the GPU before readback; collapse the preview to release its capture and history.

- Hybrid MP4/MOV, standard RTMP and FLV are supported
- Disable OBS native Stream Delay before using the plugin
- Enhanced Broadcasting / real multi-video output is intentionally unsupported
Low overhead has a tradeoff.
Production mode uses a cut on the next safe keyframe. A real fade between delayed and live video would require permanent decoding, compositing and re-encoding—the exact cost this plugin avoids.
